The Oklahoma 100 Goldback stands as a tribute to one of the most storied military units in U.S. history: the 45th Infantry Division, known proudly as the “Thunderbird Division.” In 1923, the 45th was forged from the Oklahoma National Guard, including an extraordinary number of Native American service members from the Five Civilized Tribes. Their most defining mission came on April 29, 1945, when they helped liberate Dachau Concentration Camp, uncovering one of the darkest horrors of the Holocaust.
At the centre of this composition stands Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom and a
powerful American symbol. Her gown of stars and stripes is directly inspired by the Liberty figure on the Oklahoma State Seal. Her form also echoes the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a coin that circulated widely during World War II. Libertas holds a shield bearing the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma. It includes the seals of the Five Civilized Tribes, symbolizing the unity between Native nations and the state they helped build. Her belt displays the Osage warrior shield, peace pipe, and olive branch from the state flag to represent defence and diplomacy. A broken shackle lies near her ankle, a solemn reminder of those freed at Dachau. Upon her chest, the Star of David necklace glints in quiet tribute to the Jewish lives that the 45th helped save. Behind her, the war unfolds. Sherman tanks and Willys MB jeeps move across the field. Fighter planes streak through storm-lit skies as a bald eagle, sacred in Native tradition, soars above. Behind the eagle, a bolt of lightning crackles, conjuring the ancient spirit of the Thunderbird, a force of divine justice.

WHAT IS GOLDBACK?
It’s physical gold! Using patented technology, each Goldback one contains
1/1000th of a troy ounce of 24k gold, laminated between two durable polymer
sheets. It’s flexible. It’s real. It’s protected by numerous anti-counterfeiting
measures.
It’s a currency! Based on the weight and value of 1/1000th troy oz of 24k gold, we created an interchangeable, fungible currency system of 1’s, 5’s, 10’s, 25’s and 50’s.
For example, a Goldback 5 contains 5x more gold than a 1, or 1/200th of a troy
ounce of gold. A fifty contains 50 times more, or 1/20th of a troy oz. of gold.
It’s inflation-resistant! Exchanging your wealth into Goldback currency connects
your wealth to the spot price of physical gold. It protects it from the devaluation

DO GOLDBACKS CONTAIN REAL GOLD?
Yes. Goldbacks contain real 24k gold. Each Goldback states how many troy ounces of gold it contains and is verified internally at Goldback Inc. with every new batch, as well as by 3rd party individuals.
IS GOLDBACK LEGAL?
Yes. Goldback is designed to be a legal, local currency within regions where a series exists. Currently, we have 5 series: Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota,
Wyoming, and Utah. They can also be used outside of the regions where gold is
accepted.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH GOLDBACKS?

numerous anti-counterfeiting features including a serial number and reverse
image proof.
WHY IS THERE A PREMIUM ON GOLDBACKS?
GB’s utility as a verifiable currency and as a hyper-fractionalized form of gold
increases its value to more than just the weight of gold it contains. There is always a manufacturing cost whenever raw resources are used to create something new. It requires specialized labor to split an ounce of gold into a thousand individual
serialized pieces.
CAN YOU MELT DOWN A GOLDBACK?
Yes, but we don’t recommend doing so without using the proper required
temperatures, specialized tools (e.g. graphite crucible, etc.) and taking the
appropriate safety precautions. Also, destroying the Goldback in this way would
cause its utility value to be lost.
HOW DURABLE/FRAGILE ARE GOLDBACKS AND DO THEY WEAR OUT?
Goldbacks are far more resilient than traditional currencies. They can be bent, but are very tear-resistant. If a Goldback starts to look worn from extensive use and circulation, it can be exchanged for a new one under most conditions.
