Every purchase comes with free storage built in. If you'd like your own private, keyed box for other valuables too, that's available separately.
Free Allocated Storage
Buy from Cardiff Gold and your order is automatically eligible for free, secure storage in our vaults — no application needed. The length of your free term depends on your order value.
Private Safe Deposit Boxes
Rent your own keyed box for gold, documents, or other valuables — separate from your Cardiff Gold purchases. Available in five sizes, with no appointment needed to access it.
Free storage with every purchase
When you buy from us, your order is automatically stored securely in our vaults, accessed on your behalf by a member of staff. Your free term is based on your invoice total.

We'll invoice you once your free storage term ends. Fees are based on your account's insurance valuation, charged annually, and include insurance and VAT. Please note: free storage does not apply to copper products.
Setting up your own box
Private vaulting is a separate, in-person service — here's what's involved.
Apply in-store
Complete an application in person with two forms of valid ID. Takes around an hour.
Pay your key deposit
A £100 refundable deposit is paid when your keys are issued — returned in full when you close your account and return the keys.

We're the only safe deposit facility in the UK awarded 'Secure by Design' accreditation by the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Metropolitan Police, with the Crime Prevention Services consulted throughout the facility's design.

Insurance
New box holders receive complimentary insurance up to £10,000 for their first year with us. After that, we work exclusively with our insurance partner, NOBLE Security Box Insurance, and can help arrange comprehensive cover for your valuables.

You never have to disclose the contents of your box when renting it. In the unlikely event of a claim, you'd only need to disclose the items relevant to that claim.
