Description
The year 2015 marked a milestone in British Royal history. In the September of that year, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became the longest reigning monarch in British history, surpassing the record of her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria. The anniversary date was September 10th, 2015, when the Queen reigned for 63 years and 217 days, surpassing Queen Victoria. To celebrate this momentous event, the British Commonwealth nation of Tristan da Cunha released a special 2015 Five £5 (Five Pound) Silver Proof, featuring the five portraits of Her Majesty used on Commonwealth coins since her accession to the throne in 1953. The side-by-side profile shows the transformation of Queen Elizabeth II from 1953 to 2015.
The thoughtful wish of all her loyal subjects is engraved around the periphery: Queen Elizabeth II, Long To Reign Over Us.
The coins are struck to a dazzling Proof condition in five ounces of 99.9% silver. Each comes with a numbered mint certificate of authenticity.
